CHEMKOP, Research and Development Center for Mining of Chemical Raw Materials Ltd, was established in 1974 as a design and consulting institute for the Polish raw chemical materials industry. Its primary focus has been mainly solution mining, underground storage, hydrogeology and geotechnics.

The majority of CHEMKOP employees are engineers from different disciplines such as mining, geology, drilling, geophysics, chemistry, mechanics, civil engineering, electronics and automation.
